Catherine Ford is a British actress who was born in Bloomsbury. When her father's departure from her household, the actress was raised up by her mother grandparents, and godparents. In her early years she was suffering from an obsessive compulsive disorder and suffered anxiety linked to word associations. Ford's interest in acting began in her early years. She was a part of the National Youth Theatre. She was accepted to the Sylvia Young Theatre School. After just a week she decided it wasn't for her. Ford decided to apply to Central School of Speech and Drama and winning a placement at the third time, applied and won an admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama. One of her classmates was Shaun Dingwall, who would later have a recurring role in the role of Pete Tyler in Doctor Who. Ford was able to graduate in 1993. However, she already made a TV appearance on a show in 1992 called Surgical Spirit. She adopted the name Catherine Tate. Tate made her television debut in 1991, appearing on television shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. Her regular work in theatre brought her into The Royal Shakespeare Company, for the 2000-2001 Season. Tate's stand-up comedy that she started adding to her show in the year 1996, was soon gaining her admiration.
